FTC Solar’s innovative tracker designs provide compelling performance and reliability, with an industry-leading installation speed advantage. Founded in 2017 by a group of renewable energy industry veterans, FTC Solar is headquartered in Austin, Texas with sales and support resources in Australia, India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Challenge

The FTC Solar team approached DG+ in early 2020 to help the company grow from a rising star in solar single-axis tracker technology to an established global brand. More specifically, the company needed a new visual identity, key messaging, and sales materials to serve internal and external teams.

Solution

DG+ started with market and competitor research to better understand FTC Solar’s unique products and how the company could differentiate itself moving forward. After a thorough process that included individual and group interviews, surveys, and research, DG+ delivered a report on key findings and opportunities for the company to outcompete others in the space.

Using this initial work as a guide, DG+ then developed a new brand that would include a refreshed visual identity and messaging on key values and differentiators for each product, service, and the company as a whole. The brand package would a visual identity guide, training for employees, sales collateral, and Microsoft Office templates. Shortly after the project, FTC Solar celebrated an initial public offering on NASDAQ (FTCI), raising over $200 million in funding for the company.
