Challenge

Neighborhood Sun is a mission-driven community solar provider that puts its members above all other partners. Despite the apparent benefits that Neighborhood Sun offers both its customers and the planet, they encountered a barrier when it came to educating some of those who stood to benefit the most from their services. Neighborhood Sun needed help establishing trust and spreading awareness in the communities they serve.

Solution

DG+ helped the Neighborhood Sun team address their audience awareness dilemma by implementing an omnichannel marketing and advertising strategy. We started by analyzing their existing paid and organic digital portfolio in order to highlight what was working and where there was room for improvement. We then created a 12-month content planning calendar which we used to develop written and visual content to be shared in accordance with the established schedule. We supplemented their existing visual assets by creating new social media templates to be shared across all platforms. As the second phase of support, we helped launch new websites for Neighborhood Sun and SunEngine, their community solar subscription management platform.
